Scaling Inclusive Green Transitions through South-South and Triangular Cooperation: Lessons from PAGE (Available in English only)
The Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) presents a compilation of case studies demonstrating how South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) is accelerating the transition toward inclusive, green, and circular economies. Developed jointly by PAGE partner agencies—UNEP, ILO, UNDP, UNIDO, and UNITAR—this publication highlights practical experiences from across regions, showcasing how peer learning, policy dialogue, and technical collaboration can support countries in addressing shared development challenges and scaling sustainable solutions.
Through ten diverse case studies, the report illustrates how SSTC strengthens institutional capacity, fosters cross-regional collaboration, and promotes nationally driven policy innovation in areas such as circular economy, sustainable finance, and just transition. It further provides key lessons on the importance of continuous engagement, strong national ownership, and structured knowledge exchange to ensure long-term impact, offering valuable insights for policymakers, development partners, and practitioners working to advance green economy transitions.
The publication also highlights Indonesia’s active role in advancing SSTC, including its engagement in regional peer-learning initiatives and the Indonesia–China bilateral exchange on green finance and the circular economy. These exchanges demonstrate how Indonesia is leveraging international collaboration to strengthen policy development, enhance institutional capacity, and accelerate the implementation of circular economy and sustainable finance frameworks while contributing to broader knowledge sharing across PAGE partner countries.
