2nd Inclusive Green Economy Modeling (IGEM) Course Launch: Implementing an Inclusive Green Economy

PAGE Indonesia in collaboration with University of Indonesia, APIK Indonesia Network, and Environment Institute (Enviro) has launched the 2nd IGEM Course Indonesia, Tuesday 25 October 2022.
The launch of the 2nd IGEM Course Indonesia is following the success of the implementation of the 1st IGEM Course last year at University of Indonesia School of Environmental Sciences, which was also participated by masters and doctoral students from Sriwijaya University and President University.
For this year, the course has been adapted into a 6-meeting course and has incorporated regional context. Starting on 25 October, the 2nd IGEM Course Indonesia this year invites broader students/participants from various universities in Indonesia and will run until December 2022.
The launching event on Tuesday also served as sharing knowledge and awareness raising platform, in which the speakers discussed the importance of economic transition in facing global challenges such as double triple crises and how green economy and integrated planning can play a role. Keynote speech was delivered by the Senior Advisor for Minister of Environment and Forestry, while the panel session includes speakers from the West, Central, and Eastern Indonesian universities.
On Zoom, the online event was attended by 263 participants from more than 20 universities in Indonesia, government representatives from several Ministries/Institutions both from national and sub-national and interested public.
