Report of "Ngupahan" Mobile Application (Available in Bahasa Indonesia Only)
The development of the Ngupahan mobile application within the Bogor Regency Government has provided new insights and understanding of food waste management, especially for government officials at the Dinas Ketahanan Pangan (Food Security Office) of Bogor Regency, as well as for partners and stakeholders involved in food-related matters. These stakeholders include the Food Security Cadres across 40 districts in Bogor Regency, village officials, and various community groups such as the Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (Family Welfare Empowerment), Women's Farming Groups, and the Waste Bank Forum. This initiative supports the formulation of policies and activities to address food waste.
The use of the Ngupahan app on smartphones has significantly improved the process of collecting data on surplus food availability and consumption in the community, making it faster, more effective, and more efficient than conventional data collection methods. The basic data generated through the Ngupahan app can be processed and analyzed more quickly to support policy recommendations related to food in the Bogor Regency Government.
