Integration Report: Rooftop Solar PV Systems on Schools in West Java Province (Available in Bahasa Indonesia Only)

The United Nations Partnership for Action on Green Economy (UN-PAGE), in collaboration with the Directorate of Environmental Affairs of Bappenas, is currently implementing the initiation of low-carbon development (LCD) policy applications both at the national and sub-national levels, including in West Java Province. Through the drafting of the Regional Low Carbon Development Plan (RPRKD West Java 2022), UN-PAGE remains committed to continuing support for the implementation of low-carbon development policies in the regions. Among several implementation options for low-carbon development policies in the energy sector, the installation of rooftop solar PV systems on school buildings has been prioritized. In addition to rooftop solar PV installations, the development of waste management facilitiy - reduce, reuse, recycle (TPS-3R) has also been recommended as a strategic approach to implementing LCD policies in West Java Province. The installation of rooftop solar PV systems and the development of TPS-3R facilities in three cities are considered more feasible among 14 proposed large-scale investment projects and 16 other medium/small-scale proposals.
